Islamabad — Leaders from Pakistan, Islamic Arab nations, and European countries have urged the United Nations and international organizations to take immediate action to stop Israeli aggression and recognize Palestine as an independent, sovereign state.

Pakistan, Arab & EU Leaders Demand UN Recognition of Palestine at Islamabad Peace Conference

The demand was made in a joint declaration at the Palestine Peace Conference hosted by the Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) in Islamabad. Participants denounced Israel’s expansionist agenda, calling the “Greater Israel” plan a conspiracy against global peace that will not be accepted under any circumstances.

The declaration stressed that resolving both the Palestinian and Kashmir conflicts is vital to ensuring long-term peace, stability, and justice worldwide.

The conference was chaired by Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, Chairman of the Pakistan Ulema Council. It was attended by Dr. Mahmoud Al-Habash, Chief Justice of Palestine and Qazi Quds of Palestine, the Imam of Masjid Al-Aqsa, ambassadors of Islamic nations, senior government officials, and prominent religious scholars from across Pakistan.

Speakers reaffirmed support for the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination, while strongly condemning Israel’s disregard for international law and human rights.

The conference welcomed the recent announcements by France, Norway, Germany, Belgium, and other countries to recognize Palestine at the upcoming United Nations Palestine Conference in New York on September 22. It also paid tribute to the efforts of Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman in advocating for Palestinian statehood.

Delegates strongly condemned the U.S. decision to bar Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas from attending the upcoming Palestine Conference at the United Nations in New York on September 22. They called the move unjustifiable and demanded Washington lift the ban immediately.

Speakers highlighted Pakistan’s unwavering support for Palestine, stressing that Islamabad has never recognized Israel and will continue to stand with Palestinians until the liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the establishment of an independent state.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Habash said: “Gaza is wounded, but Gaza belongs to the Palestinian people. No one else will be allowed to occupy it. The so-called Greater Israel project will never succeed.”

The joint declaration concluded with a pledge that the struggle for Palestine will continue until justice and sovereignty are achieved, reaffirming Pakistan’s role as a front line supporter of the Palestinian cause.
