Pakistan Army Vows Decisive Response to Any Indian Aggression

Pakistan’s top military leadership has issued a strong warning against any Indian aggression, stating that any attempt to impose war will be responded to “surely and decisively.” The statement came during a Special Corps Commanders’ Conference (SCCC) held at General Headquarters (GHQ) under the chairmanship of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir. The forum reviewed the regional security situation and reiterated the Pakistan Army’s unwavering resolve to safeguard national sovereignty in accordance with the will of the Pakistani people.

The military leadership expressed deep concern over India’s escalating hostilities in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), including recent human rights violations and unprovoked ceasefire breaches along the Line of Control (LoC). The forum condemned the Pahalgam incident and warned that such provocations will only intensify regional instability. It emphasized that any further unprovoked acts by India would face a firm and proportionate response from Pakistan’s armed forces.

The commanders accused India of following a predictable pattern of exploiting crises for political and strategic gains. Citing the Pulwama incident in 2019, the forum noted that India had used similar tactics to unilaterally revoke Article 370 and alter the status of IIOJK. The recent Pahalgam episode, according to military leadership, appears to be part of a strategy to distract Pakistan from its economic recovery and counterterrorism gains on the western front.

Serious concern was also raised regarding India’s attempts to undermine the Indus Waters Treaty. The forum warned that any effort to manipulate water distribution poses a direct threat to Pakistan’s national security and the livelihood of over 240 million citizens. The use of water as a political weapon was labeled a dangerous escalation that could destabilize the region.

Furthermore, the military leadership highlighted credible evidence of Indian military and intelligence involvement in orchestrating terrorist activities within Pakistan. These state-sponsored actions were described as blatant violations of international law and global norms. The forum reaffirmed that Pakistan would confront and defeat all such threats with resolve and clarity.
