Pakistan, Azerbaijan Pledge to Expand Bilateral Cooperation

Islamabad — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov on Wednesday to discuss ways of strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing regional cooperation, the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement.

The two leaders reviewed progress made since the recent meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Ilham Aliyev on the sidelines of the SCO Summit, reaffirming their commitment to advancing the multifaceted partnership between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.

Both sides emphasized expanding collaboration in key areas including political dialogue, economic partnerships, and energy cooperation, underscoring the importance of translating mutual goodwill into concrete outcomes.

The foreign ministers also exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments, stressing the need for closer coordination to safeguard shared interests and contribute to regional stability.
