Pakistan, Bangladesh Consuls in Dubai Vow to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

The Consul General of Bangladesh in Dubai, Md. Rashedujjaman, met with his Pakistani counterpart, Hussain Muhammad, on Monday to discuss ways to deepen bilateral ties, with a focus on enhancing trade and improving consular services.

During the meeting, the two diplomats explored opportunities to expand trade relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh. They emphasized the need for closer collaboration between their respective trade offices to facilitate economic exchanges and promote investment in key sectors.

“We believe that Pakistan and Bangladesh have tremendous potential for cooperation, especially in trade and commerce, and this partnership can bring mutual benefits to both nations,” Hussain Muhammad stated.

Md. Rashedujjaman highlighted the importance of leveraging diplomatic channels to foster stronger economic ties, adding, “Bangladesh values its relationship with Pakistan, and we look forward to working together to unlock our bilateral trade.”

Beyond trade, the consuls discussed measures to enhance consular services for their respective communities in the UAE. Topics included streamlining visa processing, improving passport services, and raising awareness about available support for expatriates.

Both sides agreed to share best practices and collaborate on public outreach initiatives to ensure the well-being of their diaspora communities in the region.

The meeting, attended by senior diplomats from both missions, marked a step forward in strengthening the partnership between the two South Asian nations. The consuls expressed optimism about the future of Pakistan-Bangladesh relations and pledged to explore additional areas of mutual interest.

This dialogue underscores the commitment of both nations to fostering cooperation, not only for the benefit of their citizens abroad but also to contribute to regional stability and economic growth.
