ISLAMABAD — Amid growing regional instability, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) of Pakistan has initiated the evacuation of families of its diplomats, along with some non-essential staff, from the Islamic Republic of Iran, a senior official confirmed on Tuesday.

The move comes as part of precautionary measures in light of the evolving security situation following Israel’s military actions against Iran.

Despite the evacuation, the Pakistan Embassy in Tehran and its consulates across Iran will continue to operate normally, providing full diplomatic and consular services. The official emphasized that these missions remain committed to supporting Pakistani citizens and maintaining essential diplomatic functions.

This move comes in the wake of intensifying hostilities following Israeli military actions targeting Iranian sites, leading to security concerns for diplomatic missions in the region.
