Pakistan, Canada Discuss Boosting Trade and Development Cooperation

High Commissioner Muhammad Saleem and Canadian Secretary of State Randeep Sarai discussed strengthening Pakistan-Canada relations with a focus on expanding development cooperation In a key diplomatic meeting held in Ottawa. The two sides exchanged views on fostering stronger economic and strategic ties.

High Commissioner Saleem emphasized Pakistan’s promising sectors, inviting Canadian investors to explore opportunities in agriculture, energy, information and communication technology (ICT), mining, and tourism. Secretary Sarai appreciated Pakistan’s development priorities and expressed interest in exploring new frameworks for cooperation under Canada’s international development initiatives. Both sides agreed to promote partnerships between public and private sectors and explore joint ventures that could yield mutual benefits.
