Pakistan-China Joint Military Exercise Warrior-8 Commences

The joint military exercise “Warrior-8” between the Pakistan Army and China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) officially kicked off at the National Counter Terrorism Center in Pabbi with an impressive opening ceremony.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), this marks the eighth edition of the annual counter-terrorism exercise, which spans three weeks. These exercises aim to enhance professional skills through joint training and strengthen the longstanding, ironclad relations between the two nations.

Lieutenant General Shahid Imtiaz, Commander of Rawalpindi Corps, graced the ceremony as the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, he lauded the deep-rooted ties between Pakistan and China, highlighting the role of such military collaborations in fostering regional stability and mutual understanding.

The ISPR further stated that the drills will focus on advanced counter-terrorism techniques and strategies, allowing both armies to refine their operational capabilities. These exercises not only bolster military expertise but also reaffirm the enduring bond between the two countries, often referred to as “iron brothers.”
