Islamabad, August — Pakistan and China on Thursday reaffirmed that their longstanding friendship remains vital for regional peace, stability, and shared prosperity.
The understanding came during the 6th Round of Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue in Islamabad, where Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
Both sides reviewed the entire spectrum of bilateral relations, stressing the importance of their All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership. Discussions focused on advancing China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Phase-II, enhancing trade, boosting economic cooperation, and deepening people-to-people exchanges.
The ministers also emphasized the importance of multilateral cooperation, pledging to maintain close coordination at regional and international forums.
The two foreign ministers highlighted that Pakistan-China friendship is indispensable not only for the progress of both nations but also for regional peace and development. They reiterated their commitment to strengthening cooperation across political, economic, and strategic domains.
