ISLAMABAD — Pakistan has strongly condemned the recent Israeli airstrike in Gaza that killed multiple civilians, labeling it a grave breach of international humanitarian and human rights law, and urging the international community to take swift, decisive action.
In a statement issued on Monday, Foreign Office Spokesperson Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan extended heartfelt condolences to the victims’ families, reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people during what he described as “a period of profound suffering.”
“The egregious attack once again highlights the scale and severity of crimes committed by the occupying power,” Khan stated, urging global powers to “end Israeli impunity, ensure the protection of civilians, and hold Israel accountable for its actions.”
The spokesperson reaffirmed Pakistan’s firm support for a peaceful resolution to the Palestinian issue in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions. He emphasized the urgent need for the establishment of an independent, sovereign, and contiguous Palestinian state, based on pre-June 1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
