Pakistan Condemns Israel’s Blockade of Humanitarian Aid to Gaza

Report by Syed Farzand Ali

Pakistan has strongly criticized Israel’s decision to block humanitarian aid from reaching Gaza, calling it a grave violation of international law and a direct attack on the rights of Palestinians, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.

In an official statement, the Foreign Office of Pakistan denounced the blockade as part of a broader strategy to impose collective punishment on Palestinians. The statement emphasized that denying essential aid to millions in need is both inhumane and unlawful under international humanitarian principles.

“This deliberate move aims to worsen the already dire humanitarian crisis in Gaza,” the Foreign Office Spokesperson stated, adding that such actions threaten regional stability and could disrupt ongoing ceasefire efforts.

Pakistan called on the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and global powers to:
✅ Ensure immediate humanitarian access to Gaza
✅ Hold Israel accountable for violations of international law
✅ Facilitate lasting peace through diplomatic efforts

Reiterating its unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, Pakistan urged the implementation of a permanent ceasefire and the realization of a two-state solution. The country reaffirmed that Palestine must be recognized as a sovereign state based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its rightful capital.
