Pakistan Consulate in Jeddah Hosts Spiritual Event on Qur’an and Youm-e-Ashura

JEDDAH: The Consulate General of Pakistan in Jeddah organized a special event on Friday to highlight the teachings of the Holy Qur’an, the message of Paigham-e-Pakistan, and the spiritual significance of Youm-e-Ashura. The gathering took place at the newly established chancery building in Al Rehab District.

Presided over by Consul General Khalid Majid, the event featured renowned Quran reciter Qari Syed Sadaqat Ali as the chief guest, whose remarkable contributions to Quranic recitation have earned international acclaim for Pakistan.
The program began with a mesmerizing recitation by Qari Syed Sadaqat Ali, deeply moving the audience. Addressing participants, he stressed the Qur’an’s essential role as a guiding framework for both individuals and nations.
Qari Sadaqat Ali underscored how the teachings of the Qur’an are integral to Pakistan’s ideological foundations, and spoke about the timeless values of sacrifice, truth, and patience embodied by Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions during the events of Karbala.
The event was attended by a large number of Pakistani community members, religious scholars, and consulate officials, all coming together in a spirit of unity and reflection.
Concluding the session, a collective prayer was offered for the unity of the Ummah, peace and prosperity in Pakistan, and the freedom of oppressed Muslim communities worldwide, especially in Palestine and Kashmir. Special prayers were also made for the good health of the Consul General and the successful completion of the new chancery building.
