Second Test match held at Multan Cricket Stadium, Pakistan triumphed over England, bowling them out for 144 runs while chasing a target of 297.

The English team faced significant challenges during their second innings. Ben Duckett, who scored a century in the first innings, was dismissed without scoring. Meanwhile, Zak Crawley managed only 3 runs, and Ollie Pope scored 22. Other notable contributions came from Joe Root with 18, Harry Brook with 16, Jamie Smith with 6, Ben Stokes with 37, Brandon Carse with 27, and Jack Leach, who scored just 1 run. Nauman Ali led Pakistan’s bowling attack, taking 8 wickets, while Sajid Khan claimed 2 wickets, showcasing a remarkable performance.

In their second innings, Pakistan’s opener Abdullah Shafiq scored 4 runs, and Saiyam Ayub contributed 22 runs before getting out. Other notable contributions came from Kamran Ghulam with 26 runs, Mohammad Rizwan with 23 runs, and captain Shan Masood with 11 runs. England’s  Shoaib Bashir was the standout bowler with 4 wickets, while Jack Leach took 3, Brandon Carse grabbed 2, and Matthew Potts took 1 wicket.

On the first day of play, Pakistan was all out for 366 runs, with Kamran Ghulam shining with a remarkable 118 runs. He became the 13th Pakistani player to score a century on debut.
It is worth noting that the England cricket team had previously taken a 1-0 lead in the series, and the third Test will take place on October 24 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Pakistan’s playing eleven included Saiyam Ayub, Abdullah Shafiq, Shan Masood (captain), Kamran Ghulam, Saud Shakeel (vice-captain), Mohammad Rizwan (wicketkeeper), Salman Ali Agha, Aamer Jamal, Nauman Ali, Sajid Khan, and Zahid Mahmood. England’s lineup featured Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Harry Brook, Ben Stokes (captain), Jamie Smith (wicketkeeper), Brandon Carse, Matt Potts, Jack Leach, and Shoaib Bashir.
