Pakistan’s Deputy PM Holds Talks with Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami

DHAKA — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, met with a delegation of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami on Saturday to discuss avenues for enhancing Pakistan-Bangladesh ties

The delegation, led by Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammed Taher, Naib Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami, engaged in detailed discussions as part of the Deputy Prime Minister’s outreach to political stakeholders in Bangladesh during his official visit.

Dar praised the courage and perseverance of Jamaat leaders and members, acknowledging their resilience in the face of political and social challenges. He emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to constructive engagement with all political groups in Bangladesh and expressed a desire to build a forward-looking, cooperative relationship between the two countries.

The meeting comes amid renewed diplomatic efforts by Pakistan to expand its political dialogue and strengthen people-to-people ties with Bangladesh.
