Islamabad — Pakistan has sent 105 tonnes of humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan after a powerful earthquake left at least 1,469 people dead and over 3,700 injured, making it one of the most catastrophic natural disasters in the country in recent decades.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar confirmed that the relief convoy — consisting of five trucks with 40-foot containers — crossed into Afghanistan via the Torkham border on Wednesday.
