ISLAMABAD — Pakistan has dispatched its 18th humanitarian aid consignment to the Gaza Strip, delivering 200 tons of food and medical supplies to help Palestinians enduring a deepening humanitarian crisis under an ongoing blockade.

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar flagged off the aid from Islamabad International Airport on Friday, following directives from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The operation was coordinated by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).

The two-part consignment — each weighing 100 tons — includes dry rations, essential food staples, and life-saving medicines. Minister Tarar stressed that the assistance comes at a time when Gaza remains under a crippling blockade, preventing many international relief agencies from delivering aid.

“Children and innocent civilians are suffering from severe malnutrition, and the humanitarian situation is alarming,” he said, noting that Pakistan has already dispatched 1,800 tons of aid since the recent escalation of violence.

The minister commended the Al-Khidmat Foundation and the leadership of Jamaat-e-Islami for their continuous contributions and advocacy for Palestine on national and international platforms.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment, Tarar stated that the country stands “shoulder to shoulder” with the people of Gaza and will continue to support them until peace and justice prevail.

“This aid is a symbol of Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people during one of the most challenging times in their history,” he concluded.
