Pakistan’s Dubai Consulate Wins Diplomatic Cricket Championship 2025

 

The cricket team of Pakistan’s Consulate General in Dubai clinched victory in the 9th Diplomatic Cup (Cricket Championship 2025), defeating Bangladesh in the final match.

Pakistan maintained a flawless winning streak throughout the tournament, which featured teams from eight diplomatic missions, including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, South Africa, Sri Lanka, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

In the 15-over final, Bangladesh set a target of 113 runs, which Pakistan comfortably chased in just 12 overs at Skyline University College’s cricket ground in Sharjah, UAE.

Captain Rahim Ullah Khan, Deputy Consul General and Head of Chancery, credited the team’s dedication and teamwork for their outstanding performance. He emphasized the role of sports in building camaraderie and promoting a positive diplomatic environment.

Consul General Hussain Muhammad congratulated the team on their remarkable achievement, highlighting the importance of such tournaments in strengthening international relations and fostering goodwill among diplomats.

Earlier, Pakistan secured its spot in the final by defeating the United States, while Bangladesh overcame the United Kingdom to advance.

This victory marks a proud moment for Pakistan’s diplomatic community, showcasing their passion for sports and teamwork on an international platform.
