
Pakistan Embassy Beijing Hosts International Culture Day Celebrations

The Pakistan Embassy College Beijing (PECB) held its much-anticipated International Culture Day on Saturday, transforming its campus into a vibrant hub of world cultures. The event featured traditional costumes, culinary delights, and captivating performances, drawing representatives from around 50 countries.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, who inaugurated the event as Chief Guest, highlighted the theme “Bringing the World Together.” He noted, “In a world often divided by differences, today we stand united, celebrating our shared diversity. Autumn’s colors remind us of the harmony that comes from varied elements merging.”
The Ambassador praised PECB for fostering global friendships as Beijing’s first international school, stressing the importance of diversity in building a peaceful future. He remarked on Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage, saying, “Our nation’s array of languages, beliefs, and traditions strengthens our collective identity and celebrates each unique contribution to the human experience.”
Principal Ms. Shazia Amjad acknowledged the day’s additional significance as it marked PECB’s 55th year of academic excellence. Following her welcome speech, Ambassador Hashmi commemorated the milestone by cutting an anniversary cake, extending gratitude to the event’s organizers and the diplomatic community for their support in making the day a success.
The event concluded with attendees enjoying an array of traditional cuisines, underscoring the bonds of international friendship.
