Pakistan Embassy College Beijing Holds Annual Student Council Investiture Ceremony

Pakistan Embassy College Beijing (PECB) held its annual Student Council Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2024-25, with Ambassador Khalil Hashmi attending as the Chief Guest.

In his keynote address, Ambassador Hashmi congratulated the newly elected members of the Student Council and emphasized the importance of values such as integrity, responsibility, empathy, and community service in effective leadership. He encouraged students to seize this opportunity to positively impact their school and the wider community.

Highlighting the pivotal role of PECB in fostering Pakistan-China relations, Ambassador Hashmi noted that the college has consistently promoted academic excellence and cultural exchange since its inception. He described PECB not just as an educational institution but also as a soft ambassador for Pakistan, dedicated to sharing the country’s culture and values with the broader Chinese audience.

Expressing pride in the students’ accomplishments, Ambassador Hashmi reaffirmed the embassy’s commitment to supporting educational initiatives that nurture leadership and development among the youth.

The ceremony commenced with a welcome address from Principal Ms. Shazia Amjad, who reaffirmed PECB’s dedication to cultivating young leaders who can make meaningful contributions to society. She stressed the college’s commitment to providing an environment that encourages personal growth, leadership skills, and a sense of responsibility.

The event concluded with the elected representatives formally taking their oaths, pledging to serve their peers while upholding the values of integrity, responsibility, and service.
