The Embassy of Pakistan inaugurated its “Pakistan Arts, Crafts, and Literature Series” with a captivating exhibition dedicated to the art of Islamic calligraphy. The event showcased the works of prominent Pakistani artist Ayesha Kamal, drawing a diverse audience including diplomats, U.S. government officials, art enthusiasts, and members of the Pakistani-American community.
Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh welcomed the guests and highlighted the significance of Islamic calligraphy as both an artistic and spiritual expression.
“Islamic calligraphy transcends mere visual appeal; it is a profound testament to faith and a cornerstone of our cultural heritage,” he remarked. Ambassador Sheikh also honored iconic Pakistani calligraphers, including Sadequain and Ustad Allah Bux, for their transformative influence on the craft.
