The Pakistan Embassy in Beijing hosted a national day reception to commemorate the Pakistan Resolution of March 23, 1940. The event was attended by senior Chinese officials, diplomats, Pakistani community members, business leaders, academics, and media representatives.

Vice Foreign Minister of China, Sun Weidong, was the Chief Guest, alongside Vice Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, Sun Haiyan.

In his address, Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, honored the nation’s founding fathers and praised Pakistan’s resilience and economic progress. He emphasized the importance of China-Pakistan relations, highlighting cooperation in trade, technology, education, and culture.

Vice Foreign Minister Sun Weidong reaffirmed China’s commitment to its All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership with Pakistan, calling the two nations “good neighbors, good friends, good partners, and good brothers.”

The event also featured a special cultural performance by Chinese and Pakistani children, celebrating the deep-rooted friendship and people-to-people ties between the two nations.
