
Pakistan Embassy in Bishkek Commemorates Independence Day with Dignified Ceremony

Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan — The Embassy of Pakistan in Bishkek hosted a dignified ceremony to commemorate the 78th Independence Day of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The event was presided over by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, Hassan Ali Zaigham, and attended by Pakistani businessmen, students, and community members.
At the start of the ceremony, special messages from President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Deputy Prime Minister & Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar were read out, highlighting Pakistan’s vision of unity, progress, and strong diplomatic relations with friendly nations.
Addressing the gathering, Ambassador Hassan Ali Zaigham congratulated the community on Pakistan’s Independence Day and highlighted the growing Pakistan–Kyrgyzstan partnership in trade, education, and cultural exchanges. He praised the role of overseas Pakistanis in strengthening bilateral ties and representing the country abroad.
During the event, Ambassador Zaigham presented a special certificate of recognition to Dr. Shahid Hasan, a renowned Pakistani intellectual and Chairman of Kyrgyzstan Trade House in Pakistan. The award acknowledged his valuable contributions in strengthening Pakistan–Kyrgyzstan relations, as well as his social, political, and economic services for the community.
The ceremony concluded with prayers for Pakistan’s prosperity and continued development, followed by an interactive session where participants exchanged views on enhancing bilateral ties, trade, and people-to-people connections.
