Pakistan Embassy in Brussels Hosts Prominent Interfaith Leader

Pakistan’s Charge d’Affaires in Brussels, Faraz Zaidi, welcomed Haji Dede Edmond Brahimaj, the Head Father of the World Bektashi Headquarters, at the embassy on Friday.

The meeting focused on fostering interfaith harmony, addressing the challenges of Islamophobia, and exploring avenues for collaborative initiatives within EU institutions.

Faraz Zaidi emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to promoting mutual understanding and tolerance across faiths, especially in the face of rising global polarization. Haji Dede Edmond Brahimaj lauded Pakistan’s efforts and stressed the importance of dialogue in building bridges among diverse communities.

The two agreed to explore partnerships aimed at advancing peace and inclusivity through forums and programs supported by the EU.
