Pakistan, EU Envoys Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Relations
Pakistan and the European Union (EU) have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening diplomatic and economic ties following a high-level meeting between Pakistan’s Chargé d’Affaires in Belgium, Syed Faraz Hussain Zaidi, and the EU Ambassador to Pakistan, Riina Kionka.
The meeting focused on enhancing political, trade, and development cooperation between Pakistan and the European Union. Discussions also touched on Pakistan’s GSP+ status, sustainable development initiatives, and strategies to further expand bilateral trade and investment opportunities.
Following the meeting, Faraz Zaidi shared a statement on X (formerly Twitter), highlighting the importance of continued engagement between Pakistan and the EU.
“It was a pleasure meeting Riina Kionka. The interaction provided a timely opportunity to discuss the dynamic Pakistan-EU relations and explore ways to further deepen our cooperation for mutual benefit. Looking forward to continued engagement,” Zaidi stated.
