Pakistan Grants Over 3,000 Visas to Sikh Pilgrims for Guru Nanak’s Birth Anniversary Celebrations

The Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi has announced the issuance of over 3,000 visas to Sikh pilgrims from India, enabling them to participate in the grand celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s birth anniversary from November 14 to 23 in Pakistan.

During their pilgrimage, the Sikh devotees will have the opportunity to visit revered sites including Gurdwara Nankana Sahib, Gurdwara Panja Sahib, and Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib. The announcement was made in an official press release on Sunday.

Charge d’Affaires Saad Ahmad Warraich conveyed his sincere congratulations and best wishes for a meaningful pilgrimage. “The issuance of these visas underscores Pakistan’s commitment to uphold the Bilateral Protocol on Visits to Religious Shrines of 1974,” the statement highlighted.
