Pakistan High Commission in Singapore Commemorates Youm-e-Tashakur with Patriotic Spirit

The High Commission of Pakistan in Singapore marked Youm-e-Tashakur (Day of Gratitude) with a solemn ceremony to honor the recent victory in the Marka-e-Haq and to salute the unwavering resolve of the Pakistani Armed Forces and the enduring spirit of the Pakistani people.

The event witnessed the participation of over 60 members of the Pakistani community, who gathered to express deep gratitude for the bravery and sacrifices of the nation’s defenders.

High Commissioner Rabia Shafiq, while addressing the gathering, paid glowing tribute to the courage and professionalism of the Armed Forces of Pakistan in repelling recent unprovoked Indian military aggression. She called Pakistan’s strategic response a powerful display of maturity, strength, and national unity in the face of unwarranted hostilities.

The High Commissioner highlighted the success of Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos, which she credited for restoring strategic balance in South Asia and reinforcing Pakistan’s defense deterrence. She also acknowledged the solidarity of the Pakistani diaspora during the crisis and commended the nation’s cohesive stance at home and abroad.

She stressed that Pakistan remains committed to peaceful coexistence, and its actions were guided strictly by self-defense. The military operations, she noted, were restrained, targeting only military sites while avoiding civilian harm.

Rabia Shafiq also drew attention to India’s deliberate attempts to politicize water resources by breaching the Indus Waters Treaty, and its continued efforts to destabilize Pakistan through state-sponsored terrorism.

She lauded the unity demonstrated by the nation, including the overseas Pakistani community, and emphasized Pakistan’s diplomatic outreach during the crisis

The event concluded with special prayers for the martyrs of the conflict and for the swift recovery of the injured, reaffirming the community’s solidarity with the homeland.
