Pakistan, India Agree to Ceasefire Starting 4:30 PM, Confirms FM Ishaq Dar

Pakistan, India Agree to Ceasefire Starting 4:30 PM, Confirms FM Ishaq Dar

 

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has confirmed that Pakistan and India have agreed to an immediate ceasefire, effective from 4:30 PM today.

Speaking to Media, Ishaq Dar stated:
“We are ready for a ceasefire, but if India shows aggression, we will respond. We thank all the countries that played a role in facilitating this ceasefire.”

He also acknowledged the involvement of the U.S. Secretary of State and Vice President, confirming they were in contact with both Pakistani and Indian top leadership over the past 48 hours.

The ceasefire is being viewed as a significant diplomatic breakthrough amid escalating tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbors.
