
Pakistan invites Qatari businessmen to invest in Pakistan’s energy, infrastructure

Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, on his official visit to Qatar, invited members of the Qatar Businessmen Association (QBA) to explore investment opportunities in Pakistan’s energy, infrastructure, and finance sectors, presenting Pakistan as an emerging hub for foreign investment.
In a meeting with the QBA delegation, led by Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al-Thani, PM Sharif emphasized Pakistan’s growing economic landscape and highlighted attractive sectors for potential investment. The delegation included high-profile Qatari business figures from influential sectors of Qatar’s economy, reflecting shared interests in fostering stronger trade and economic ties between the two countries.
Among the notable QBA members present were:
– Saod Bin Omar Bin Hamad Al-Mana, Vice Chairman & CEO of Al Mana Group
– Khalid Ahmed Al Mannai, Executive Director of Mannai Corporation
– Salah Mohammed Jaidah, Chairman MENA & Chief Country Officer of Deutsche Bank
– Sheikh Mansoor bin Jassim Al Thani, Chairman of Mansoor Jassim Al Thani Group
– Nabil Abu Issa, CEO of Blue Salon
– Yousuf Ebrahim Al-Mahmoud, Director of Sendian Group
The Qatari delegates expressed interest in Pakistan’s future projects in energy, technology, and infrastructure, signaling a positive response to PM Sharif’s invitation. Both sides discussed collaboration strategies aimed at fostering job creation, innovation, and sustainable development, reinforcing the importance of economic partnership to boost regional growth and stability.
Key Pakistani officials in attendance included Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Commerce Minister Kam Kamal Khan, Finance and Revenue Minister Mohammad Aurangzeb, and Information Minister Attaullah Tarar. The meeting underscored the commitment of both nations to strengthen bilateral economic ties and create enduring benefits through strategic investments.
