The Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi has granted visas to 87 Indian Hindu pilgrims, allowing them to participate in the 316th birth anniversary celebrations of Shiv Avtari Satguru Sant Shadaram Sahib. The festivities are set to take place at Shadani Darbar in Hayat Pitafi, Sindh, from November 24 to December 4, 2024.
Charge d’Affaires Saad Ahmad Warraich extended best wishes to the pilgrims, describing their journey as both “rewarding and fulfilling.” He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to safeguarding sacred sites and facilitating access for religious pilgrims.
The issuance of these visas aligns with the Pakistan-India Protocol on Visits to Religious Shrines of 1974, which ensures that religious devotees from both nations can visit sacred sites across borders.
Shadani Darbar, a revered Hindu pilgrimage site, holds immense historical and spiritual importance. Founded by Sant Shadaram Sahib in the 18th century, it attracts devotees from across the globe, particularly during annual celebrations.
