Pakistan and Kazakhstan have reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation, particularly in sports, tourism, and regional connectivity. A key meeting was held between Advisor to the Prime Minister on Political and Public Affairs, Rana Sanaullah, and Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Yerzhan Kistafin, to discuss avenues for collaboration.
Parliamentary Secretary for Inter-Provincial Coordination, Kiran Imran Dar, also participated in the discussions, which focused on strengthening diplomatic ties and fostering cultural exchanges between the two nations.
Rana Sanaullah, who also oversees the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination, commended Kazakhstan’s proactive approach in enhancing relations with Pakistan. He emphasized the mutual benefits of collaboration in tourism and sports, highlighting these sectors as key drivers of people-to-people engagement.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on sports cooperation is currently being developed and is expected to be signed during the upcoming Joint Inter-Governmental Commission meeting.
Ambassador Kistafin underscored the importance of strategic cooperation and announced that Kazakhstan will send international coaches to Pakistan to help train athletes, marking a significant step in sports diplomacy.
This initiative is expected to strengthen bilateral ties and create new opportunities for cultural and sports exchanges, further cementing the long-standing friendship between Pakistan and Kazakhstan.
