Pakistan-Kuwait Ties Strengthen: Ambassador Dr. Zafar Iqbal

Kuwait — Pakistan’s Ambassador to Kuwait, Dr. Zafar Iqbal, reaffirmed Islamabad’s commitment to deepening cooperation with Kuwait, praising the wise leadership of Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for fostering stronger bilateral relations.

Speaking to Media after meeting Sheikh Sabah Al-Badr, Governor of Mubarak Al-Kabeer and Acting Governor of Hawalli, Dr. Iqbal emphasized that Kuwait represents the true spirit of “Ahlan wa Sahlan” — a country renowned for its generosity, hospitality, and warmth.

The Ambassador conveyed Pakistan’s admiration for the Amir’s leadership and expressed gratitude to the Kuwaiti government for its continuous support of the Pakistani community in Kuwait.

Governor Sheikh Sabah Al-Badr acknowledged the professionalism and contributions of Pakistani expatriates, describing them as an integral part of Kuwait’s economic and social progress. Dr. Iqbal emphasized that this recognition is a matter of pride for Pakistan and strengthens the people-to-people connection between the two nations.

Ambassador Dr. Iqbal highlighted Pakistan’s readiness to expand collaboration with Kuwait in multiple areas, including:

  • Regional Peace and Development

He further noted that the vision of Amir Sheikh Mishal and Kuwait’s forward-looking policies are enhancing Gulf cooperation while deepening the historic brotherhood between Pakistan and Kuwait.
