Pakistan, Malaysia Vow Closer Ties in EU Meeting Amid Global Geopolitical Shifts

 

Pakistan’s Ambassador to the European Union, Rahim Hayat Qureshi, met with his Malaysian counterpart, Ambassador Dato Khalid Abbasi, on Friday to discuss key regional and global geopolitical developments.

During the diplomatic engagement, held in Brussels, both envoys reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and Malaysia, with a shared focus on enhancing cooperation at the EU level.

The ambassadors exchanged views on pressing international issues and evolving dynamics in Asia and Europe, agreeing on the importance of continued dialogue and collaboration to address common challenges and promote peace.

On the occasion, Ambassador Qureshi also signed the condolence book for the late former Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, offering heartfelt condolences on behalf of the people and government of Pakistan.

The meeting underlines both countries’ mutual interest in advancing diplomatic engagement and fostering stronger ties in a rapidly changing global landscape.
