Pakistan Navy Hosts ‘Aman 2025’ Maritime Exercises with 60 Nations.

The 9th edition of the multinational maritime exercise ‘Aman 2025’ has officially begun in Karachi under the host ship of the Pakistan Navy, with participation from over 60 countries, including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
The objective of these exercises is to enhance global naval cooperation and devise effective solutions to address maritime security challenges.
During the opening ceremony, a welcome message from the Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, was delivered. In a symbolic display of unity, national flags of all participating countries were hoisted while Pakistan’s national anthem played in the background.
Before the commencement of the event, Saudi Military Attaché to Pakistan, Brigadier (Staff) Bandar Hamad S. Al-Haqbani, released a video message acknowledging the significance of the exercise. He remarked:
“Aman is an important multinational initiative that fosters maritime cooperation and helps in tackling shared challenges.”
He further expressed Saudi Arabia’s pride in participating, emphasizing that it reflects the Royal Saudi Navy’s commitment to maritime security and strengthening relations with other naval forces.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Commander Pakistan Fleet, Rear Admiral Abdul Muneeb, highlighted the historic significance of the event for Pakistan and its Navy.
“With a record-breaking participation of 60 nations, Aman 2025 marks a great success and a proud moment for Pakistan.”
He also announced the introduction of the Aman Dialogue, a new feature of the exercises aimed at enhancing discussions on maritime security challenges and strategies to safeguard global sea trade routes.
The dialogue will include naval and coast guard chiefs from around the world, engaging in in-depth discussions on security threats and collaborative solutions.
According to the Pakistan Navy, the core philosophy of these exercises is “Peace for All,” promoting international naval collaboration.
The drills will include multiple operational phases, such as:
- Search and rescue missions
- Maritime security operations
- Naval counterterrorism exercises
Pakistan Navy believes that this international event will serve as a milestone for regional and global maritime security.
