Pakistan Navy to Enhance Coastal Surveillance Amid CPEC Security Priorities
Pakistan’s Navy Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf has reaffirmed the military’s commitment to ensuring the security of Gwadar Port and the success of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) by taking all possible measures to bolster coastal surveillance.
Strengthening Pakistan-China Naval Ties
In a written interview by chines media report, Admiral Ashraf highlighted the strong and enduring relationship between the Pakistan Navy and the People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN). He emphasized that both navies remain committed to regional peace and maritime security, with a focus on expanding and consolidating their strategic partnership.
Regular Monitoring of Gwadar Port
Recognizing CPEC’s vital role in regional economic development, Pakistan will intensify coastal monitoring, particularly around Gwadar Port, to curb illicit activities. This move aligns with broader efforts to enhance maritime security along key trade routes.

Expanding Defense Collaboration with China
