Pakistan’s New Ambassador Presents Credentials to Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq of Oman
Syed Naveed Safdar Bokhari, the newly appointed Ambassador of Pakistan to Oman, formally presented his credentials to Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq in a ceremony held at the Al Barka Royal Palace in Muscat. This significant event marked the beginning of his ambassadorial duties and highlighted the strong diplomatic ties between Pakistan and Oman.
During the ceremony, Ambassador Bokhari conveyed the best wishes of Pakistan’s President and Prime Minister to Sultan Haitham, expressing admiration for his visionary leadership and the remarkable progress Oman has made under his guidance. The Ambassador also reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations in diverse sectors, including trade, defense, energy, and cultural exchange.
Ambassador Bokhari emphasized the deep-rooted religious, cultural, and historical connections between the two nations, and expressed Pakistan’s desire to elevate this partnership further in the years to come. He also acknowledged the important role played by the Pakistani community in Oman, thanking the Sultanate’s leadership for their continued support of the diaspora.
In addition, the Ambassador highlighted Pakistan’s ongoing economic reforms and invited Omani investors to explore the growing opportunities in sectors such as tourism, infrastructure, technology, and agriculture. Ambassador Bokhari’s previous diplomatic experience includes postings in Beijing, Washington DC, and Chengdu, where he worked to strengthen Pakistan’s international relations and promote trade and cultural exchanges.
The official presentation of credentials marks the beginning of Ambassador Bokhari’s diplomatic mission in Oman and underscores the ongoing commitment to bilateral cooperation between the two nations.
