Pakistan Observes ‘Day for the Protection of Prophethood (PBUH)’ with Religious Zeal

Pakistan commemorated ‘Youm-e-Tahaffuz-e-Namoos-e-Risalat (PBUH)’ on Saturday with deep religious devotion, reaffirming its steadfast commitment to preserving the sanctity of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony organized a high-profile seminar, bringing together scholars, religious leaders, and officials to discuss the significance of safeguarding Prophethood’s (PBUH) sanctity. Federal Minister Sardar Muhammad Yousaf led the event, emphasizing that protecting the dignity of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is a fundamental responsibility of every Muslim.
Key Highlights of the Observance:
🔹 Global Awareness Against Islamophobia – The event underscored Pakistan’s pivotal role in advocating for global action against Islamophobia, leading to the United Nations’ declaration of March 15 as the International Day to Combat Islamophobia. Speakers called for international laws to prevent acts of blasphemy disguised as free speech.
🔹 Legal Safeguards & Enforcement – Religious scholars urged the strict enforcement of Pakistan’s blasphemy laws, ensuring they are not misused while protecting religious sanctities.
🔹 Educational & Awareness Initiatives – The National Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) Conference will focus on “State Responsibility in Guiding Youth on Responsible Social Media Use in Light of Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH).”
🔹 Social Media Monitoring – The government was urged to enhance digital monitoring to prevent blasphemous content, while citizens were advised to report any violations via the Ministry of Religious Affairs’ web portal.
🔹 Promoting Religious Harmony – Clerics from different sects stressed the need for unity and responsible discourse, urging Friday sermons to highlight the significance of protecting Prophetic sanctity (PBUH).
The gathering concluded with prayers for Pakistan’s unity, religious harmony, and unwavering commitment to defending Islamic values on national and international platforms.
