Pakistan Raises Concerns Over India’s Visa Cancellations, Cites Bilateral Challenges

Pakistan has strongly objected to India’s abrupt cancellation of visas issued to Pakistani nationals, calling it a step that is creating fresh hurdles in bilateral relations.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, India’s recent visa actions are placing unnecessary obstacles in the way of people-to-people contact and diplomatic cooperation. The spokesperson emphasized that such measures are damaging confidence-building efforts between the two neighboring countries.

Key highlights from the statement include:

  • Pakistan has urged India to adopt a humane and reciprocal approach and refrain from politicizing visa decisions.
  • Ongoing cultural, religious, and trade-related exchanges between the two nations are now at risk due to the visa cancellations.
  • The Foreign Office called for a review of the decision to help restore regional harmony and maintain diplomatic balance.

Pakistan reaffirmed its commitment to regional peace and stressed the importance of facilitating movement for legitimate travelers in the interest of mutual understanding and trust.
