
Pakistan Stands in Solidarity with Lebanon: Atta Tarar

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, met with Lebanese Minister of Information Ziad Makary on Sunday to reaffirm Pakistan’s ongoing support for Lebanon, especially during the current tumultuous period. Tarar expressed Pakistan’s commitment to standing by the Lebanese people in times of need, emphasizing that the bond between the two nations has always been strong, especially in critical moments.
During the meeting, several key points were discussed, including the repatriation of Pakistanis stranded in Syria and humanitarian aid for Lebanon. Attaullah Tarar thanked the Lebanese government for its role in facilitating the evacuation of stranded Pakistani nationals from Syria. He acknowledged the efforts of Lebanese officials in organizing their swift return through Beirut following the recent agreement between Prime Ministers of both countries.
Attaullah Tarar also reiterated Pakistan’s continued efforts to provide relief supplies to the people of Lebanon, many of whom have been severely affected by the ongoing conflict. The support, he noted, reflects the deep-rooted friendship and mutual understanding shared by the two nations. In response, Minister Makary expressed gratitude towards the Pakistani government for its unwavering support and highlighted the importance of these efforts in further strengthening bilateral relations.
As both leaders affirmed their commitment to closer ties, it was clear that the Pakistan-Lebanon partnership remains as strong as ever, grounded in shared values of peace, humanitarianism, and solidarity.
