Pakistan, Sweden Pledge to Deepen Bilateral Cooperation in Key Sectors

ISLAMABAD —Pakistan and Sweden have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties through enhanced cooperation in key areas, including the green transition, sustainable technology, digitisation, and information and communication technology (ICT).

This renewed commitment came during the 19th round of bilateral political consultations held in Sweden on Tuesday, according to a statement issued on Wednesday.

Pakistan’s delegation was led by Ambassador Muhammad Ayub, Additional Secretary (Europe), while Ambassador Mikael Lindvall headed the Swedish delegation.

During the consultations, both sides comprehensively reviewed the current state of bilateral relations and explored avenues to expand collaboration across multiple fields. They also held discussions on key regional and international issues of shared concern, agreeing to maintain close coordination on matters of mutual interest.

The dialogue underscored the shared vision of Pakistan and Sweden to advance sustainable partnerships and promote innovation-driven growth, enhancing ties that are rooted in mutual respect and longstanding cooperation.
