Pakistan, Turkmenistan Discuss Expansion of Energy Cooperation

 

Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik and Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Atadjan Movlamov, held discussions on strengthening bilateral energy cooperation during a meeting in Islamabad on Tuesday.

Ambassador Movlamov congratulated Ali Pervaiz Malik on his recent appointment and reaffirmed Turkmenistan’s commitment to deepening ties, particularly in the energy sector. The ambassador emphasized the longstanding diplomatic and economic relations between the two nations and their shared vision for regional development.

Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik highlighted Pakistan’s efforts to modernize its energy infrastructure, enhance foreign investment, and explore new opportunities for energy collaboration with Turkmenistan. He underscored the mutual interest in fostering sustainable and secure energy solutions for the region.

The minister also extended best wishes for the upcoming International Conference on the International Year of Peace and Trust, set to take place in Ashgabat, reinforcing Pakistan’s commitment to inter-regional economic cooperation and sustainable growth.
