Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have agreed to strengthen bilateral ties through concrete steps in trade, investment, technology, and strategic cooperation following the 12th session of the Pakistan-UAE Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC) held in Abu Dhabi.
The high-level session, co-chaired by Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and UAE’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, focused on enhancing collaboration across economic and strategic sectors. The two countries reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing a dynamic, multifaceted partnership built on mutual respect and regional stability.
A preliminary working group session was held ahead of the main event, led by Pakistan’s Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa and UAE’s Minister of State Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh. These accords aim to enhance ease of travel, encourage joint ventures, and foster innovation-driven economic growth between the two nations.
The Joint Ministerial Commission reached consensus on strengthening cooperation in crucial areas such as:

The session concluded with the signing of a protocol outlining follow-up procedures, coordination through sectoral working groups, and reciprocal high-level visits. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the outcomes and agreed to host the 13th JMC session in Pakistan at mutually agreed dates.
