Pakistan, UAE Strengthen Ties, Explore Railway Development

 

Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi met with United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ambassador Ahmed Al-Tahiri to discuss bilateral cooperation, with a focus on railway sector development.

Ambassador Al-Tahiri congratulated Hanif Abbasi on his appointment and expressed deep sorrow over the recent terrorist attack on the Jaffar Express in Balochistan, condemning the incident and extending sympathies to the victims and their families.

Both sides reaffirmed the strong diplomatic and economic ties between Pakistan and the UAE, with the ambassador emphasizing his country’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations.

Railway Infrastructure & Investment Opportunities
Minister Hanif Abbasi highlighted Pakistan Railways’ efforts to enhance operations through strategic partnerships and encouraged UAE investment in railway infrastructure projects. The two officials explored economic and trade opportunities, particularly in rail sector modernization and broader investment ventures.

Both sides agreed to continue discussions on potential collaborations, ensuring long-term economic cooperation between the two nations.
