ISLAMABAD —Pakistan has voiced serious concern over the escalating regional tensions following a missile strike on the U.S. Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, emphasizing the need for immediate de-escalation and strict adherence to international law.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan condemned the violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states, calling the incident a dangerous development that could jeopardize regional peace and stability.

“We strongly condemn the recent violations of the principle of respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries,” the Foreign Office spokesperson stated.

Pakistan urged all parties involved in the conflict to exercise maximum restraint and reaffirmed its support for diplomatic solutions over military actions.

“We urge adherence to fundamental principles of international law and call for exercise of restraint by all sides,” the statement added.

The Foreign Office reiterated Pakistan’s longstanding position that all disputes must be resolved through peaceful dialogue and diplomacy rather than confrontation.

The air base attack, reportedly carried out by Iran amid heightened tensions with the United States, has prompted widespread concern across the Middle East. Pakistan, maintaining strategic ties with Gulf nations and the West, emphasized the urgency of defusing the situation before it spirals into broader conflict.

“Pakistan calls for immediate steps to de-escalate the situation to preserve peace and stability in the region,” the Foreign Office concluded.
