Pakistan Welcomes Iran-Israel Ceasefire, Reaffirms Support for Peace and Diplomacy

ISLAMABAD — Pakistan on Tuesday welcomed the announcement of a ceasefire agreement between Iran and Israel, calling it a significant step toward de-escalating tensions and restoring peace in the Middle East.

In an official statement, the Foreign Office urged all parties involved to respect and uphold the ceasefire understanding. “We also welcome and support the efforts aimed at reviving dialogue and diplomacy in the region,” the spokesperson said.

Pakistan reiterated that lasting peace and regional stability can only be achieved through full adherence to the purposes and principles of the United Nations Charter. The country emphasized the importance of resolving conflicts through peaceful means and avoiding the use of force.

The statement concluded by affirming Pakistan’s continued commitment to supporting regional and international efforts aimed at securing peace and fostering cooperation across the Middle East.
