Pakistan Will Respond to Any Aggression with Full Force: DG ISPR

Pakistan’s armed forces have successfully destroyed 12 Indian drones in a series of cross-border incursions on the night of May 7 and 8, according to Director General ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry. The DG ISPR confirmed that the wreckage of the drones was recovered from various regions across Pakistan, highlighting the nation’s strong and swift defensive response.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry stated that the Indian drone attacks represent open aggression, calling them deliberate violations of Pakistan’s airspace. He warned that such provocative actions are extremely serious and will be met with full force. “Pakistan’s armed forces are fully alert. We know how to deal with all forms of aggression and fanaticism,” he asserted during a media briefing.

The spokesperson revealed that drones were shot down in multiple cities including Lahore, Gujranwala, Chakwal, Rawalpindi, Attock, Bahawalpur, Mianwali, Chhor, and Karachi. In one incident near Lahore, four Pakistan Army soldiers were injured. In another tragic incident, a civilian was martyred in Mianwali, Sindh.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif noted that India’s aggression is not limited to drones alone. “India has attacked civilian areas and even mosques. This is a dangerous escalation,” he said, warning that Pakistan remains committed to defending its sovereignty at all costs.

The DG ISPR emphasized that India continues to endanger regional and global peace with reckless provocations. He reminded the global community that India has previously suffered defeat at the hands of Pakistani forces, including the downing of five Indian aircraft.
