Pakistan’s Ambassador to France, Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, emphasized the government’s dedication to the welfare of the overseas Pakistani community, underscoring that facilitating the diaspora remains a top priority.
During a Khuli Kuchehri (open forum) held at the Pakistan Mission in Paris, the ambassador engaged directly with community members. The forum focused on improving consular services and addressing complaints effectively, according to a post shared on X (formerly Twitter).
Ambassador Ahmad outlined various platforms available for resolving issues, including the Pakistan Citizen Portal, the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF), and the Ombudspersons Offices. He encouraged attendees to leverage these mechanisms to ensure their concerns are addressed.
A major highlight of the session was the ambassador’s announcement about the resumption of PIA direct flights to Paris, following the European Union Aviation Safety Agency’s (EASA) recent authorization. “This long-standing demand of the community is now becoming a reality, thanks to the persistent efforts of the government,” he said.
The ambassador reassured attendees that the Pakistan Mission in Paris remains committed to enhancing support and accessibility for the Pakistani diaspora, reaffirming the government’s resolve to strengthen ties with its overseas citizens.
