Pakistani Army Chief Pledges Strong Response to India’s Provocative Statements and Adventures

Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir has vowed that Pakistan will respond decisively to the hollow statements and provocations from the Indian military leadership. This declaration was made during the 267th Corps Commanders’ Conference, chaired by General Munir.

Review of National and Regional Security

The conference paid tribute to the sacrifices of the Pakistani armed forces, law enforcement agencies, and civilians in safeguarding the nation’s peace and stability. The participants conducted a detailed assessment of the security threats facing Pakistan and reviewed the regional and internal security dynamics.

Solidarity with Kashmir and India’s Human Rights Violations

  • On the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day (February 5), the forum expressed strong solidarity with the resilient people of Kashmir.
  • The continued human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) were strongly condemned, labeling them as a grave threat to regional peace and stability.
  • Pakistan reaffirmed its unwavering support for the right to self-determination of the Kashmiri people, as stipulated in UN Security Council resolutions.

Strong Reaction to Indian Military Leadership’s Statements

  • The forum took serious notice of the recent provocative statements from the Indian military leadership, deeming them irresponsible and detrimental to regional stability.
  • General Syed Asim Munir stated:

“The Pakistan Army is fully prepared to territorial integrity and defend the nation’s sovereignty. These statements from the Indian military are a sign of their growing frustration, and they are aimed at diverting attention from India’s internal troubles and blatant human rights abuses. Any misadventure will be met with the full force of the state.”

Concerns over Afghan Soil Used by Terrorists and the Situation in Balochistan

  • The forum expressed deep concern over the continued use of Afghan soil by terrorist groups like Fitna Al Khawarij to launch attacks against Pakistan.
  • It called for tangible actions by the Afghan interim government to address this issue, instead of continued denials.
  • The forum emphasized the need to accelerate socio-economic development in Balochistan to counter externally driven narratives of exclusion.
  • It reiterated that peace in Balochistan will not be allowed to be disrupted, and foreign-backed proxies attempting to mislead and radicalize the youth will be thwarted with the full support of the people of Balochistan.

Operational Readiness and Military Cooperation

  • The Army Chief commended the operational preparedness of all military formations and stressed the importance of mission-oriented training, enhanced military cooperation, and the conduct of joint exercises in both conventional and counter-terrorism operations.

Commitment to Constitutional Responsibilities

  • At the conclusion of the conference, General Munir reaffirmed that the military leadership remains fully aware of the multi-dimensional challenges facing the country and is committed to fulfilling its constitutional duties with the steadfast support of the proud people of Pakistan.
