Pakistani Diplomat Meets European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Chair

Pakistan’s Chargé d’Affaires in Belgium, Faraz Zaidi, held a meeting with David McAllister, Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament, to discuss Pakistan-EU relations and explore ways to enhance bilateral cooperation.

The two officials also exchanged views on regional and global issues of mutual interest.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Faraz Zaidi described the meeting as a pleasant and productive discussion, emphasizing the importance of continued diplomatic engagement.

Zaidi also met Deren Derya, Head of the AsiaPac 2 Division at the European External Action Service (EEAS).

During this meeting, both sides discussed ongoing and upcoming engagements between Pakistan and the European Union, highlighting the need for stronger diplomatic and economic ties.

These meetings reflect Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening its relationship with the EU, focusing on mutual cooperation, trade, and regional stability.
