The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has confirmed the blocking of nearly 20,000 passports belonging to individuals involved in illegal border crossings.
According to the FIA spokesperson, the move comes amid an ongoing crackdown on Pakistanis attempting to enter Europe via Iran through unauthorized means.
Iranian authorities have deported around 20,000 Pakistanis who were apprehended for crossing the border illegally from the Taftan checkpoint. This deportation has prompted the Ministry of Interior to take stringent measures, including the blocking of passports of those found violating border regulations.
Additionally, authorities have recently arrested 34 Afghan nationals involved in forging Pakistani passports, further intensifying efforts to curb illegal immigration and document fraud.
