Pakistani Nationals in Syria Safe, Says Foreign Office

The Foreign Office assured on Sunday that all Pakistani nationals in Syria are safe and have been advised to exercise caution amid the ongoing situation.

“We are closely monitoring the evolving situation in Syria,” the Foreign Office Spokesperson stated in an official release.

The statement further noted that the Embassy of Pakistan in Syria remains operational and available to provide support and guidance to Pakistani citizens.

With the Damascus Airport currently closed, the embassy is maintaining contact with stranded nationals, including religious pilgrims (Zaireen), and will facilitate their return as soon as flight operations resume.

Reiterating Pakistan’s stance, the spokesperson affirmed, “Pakistan has always supported the unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Syria, and there is no change in our principled position.”
