Pakistani PM Lauds Muslim World League’s Role in Promoting Islam’s True Identity Globally
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif commended the **Muslim World League (MWL)** for its efforts in promoting the true identity of Islam, fostering unity among Muslim nations, and advocating mutual respect and understanding among religions and cultures.
Meeting with MWL Secretary General Sheikh Dr. Mohammad bin Abdul karim Al-Issa** at the Prime Minister House, the premier expressed gratitude for MWL’s initiatives, including the decision to establish the **Sirat Museum in Pakistan.** He highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to collaborating on joint projects and expediting their completion.
The prime minister praised MWL’s collaboration in organizing the **International Conference on Girls’ Education in Muslim Countries**, scheduled for January 11-12 in Islamabad. The event underscores the Muslim world’s dedication to advancing education for girls and addressing misconceptions about women’s education and Islam.
Dr. Al-Issa revealed that the conference would culminate in the issuance of an **“Islamabad Declaration,”** aimed at uniting global scholars and academicians on this critical topic.
The prime minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for MWL’s mission and its broader goals of addressing Islamophobia and promoting interfaith harmony. Both leaders emphasized the importance of such efforts in fostering sustainable partnerships between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and the broader Muslim world.
PM Shahbaz also acknowledged Pakistan’s enduring ties with Saudi Arabia and extended good wishes to **Saudi King Salman bin Abdul aziz Al Saud** and **Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman Al Saud.**
The Middle East situation was also discussed, with the prime minister condemning Israeli actions in Palestine and urging the global community to address the ongoing crisis in Gaza.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister **Muhammad Ishaq Dar**, Federal Ministers **Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui** and **Chaudhry Salik Hussain**, Special Assistant **Syed Tariq Fatemi**, Saudi Ambassador **Nawaf Bin Saeed Al-Maliki**, and senior officials.
This collaboration marks a milestone in Pakistan’s efforts to promote Islamic values and strengthen ties with the global Muslim community.
